Linguistic QA Tester – Voice & AI Translation

We are looking for a Linguistic QA Tester – Voice & AI Translation to join our team in Bangalore. You will test and evaluate AI-generated voice and text translations, focusing on accuracy, pronunciation, fluency, grammar, and natural conversational quality.
The ideal candidate has excellent English skills and fluent or native-level proficiency in at least one of French, German, or Spanish, with clear pronunciation and strong written communication skills. You will work closely with our development team to identify linguistic issues and improve translation quality.
Key Responsibilities
Voice Translation Testing
- Perform live Voice-to-Voice Translation tests between English and the selected language.
- Evaluate speech recognition, pronunciation, fluency, tone, and translation accuracy.
- Test natural conversations, interruptions, and response timing.
- Identify and document linguistic errors and unnatural expressions.
Text Translation Quality Assurance
- Review AI-generated translations for grammar, spelling, terminology, and meaning.
- Validate translations against original text and business context.
- Create multilingual test scripts and conversation scenarios.
- Support glossary and terminology testing.
AI Quality Evaluation & Reporting
- Compare translation quality across different AI engines.
- Identify issues involving language detection, dialects, and context.
- Document test results and report defects to the development team.
- Retest improvements and verify linguistic quality.
Required Experience
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Fluent or native-level proficiency in French, German, or Spanish.
- Clear, natural speech with accurate pronunciation.
- Strong grammar, spelling, and writing skills in both languages.
- Ability to identify subtle linguistic and translation errors.
- Good computer skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to document findings clearly in English.

Our Verbis platform enables enterprises to communicate across languages through real-time Voice-to-Voice Translation, Messaging, Cases, Knowledge, Documents, and other Salesforce workflows.
We are expanding our linguistic QA team to ensure high-quality spoken and written translations across languages.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in translation, localization, linguistic testing, or software QA.
- Familiarity with AI translation, speech recognition, or text-to-speech technologies.
- Language certification or a degree in linguistics, translation, or related studies.
- Experience with customer service or business communication.

Recruitment Assessment
Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical assessment including:
- A spoken conversation in English and the selected additional language.
- A short written language and translation exercise.
- Identification of linguistic errors in AI-generated translations.
We prioritize excellent linguistic skills, clear speech, and attention to detail. Previous software testing experience is an advantage, but not essential.
